<//Provide a Hand-up, not a Hand-out with Kickstart>

Talent RISE is a registered youth employment charity with an excellent track record of providing high quality employability support. Our services have received rave reviews from young people and employers alike, and we can help you bring out the best in your young Kickstart participants.

“The small group (under 15) nature of the workshop meant I felt personally supported by the session leaders and that our paths were personally being taken into consideration. I really felt motivated after my attendance of the session and that it was something positive I was doing for my job searching and career goals.”

// Employability Support Packages for the Kickstart Scheme

Kickstart is a UK government scheme that funds 6 month work placements for young people aged 16-24.

Your placement needs to help the young person become more employable in the long-term.

Organisations taking part receive full funding to cover 100% of the National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, plus employer National Insurance Contributions and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions.

Employers taking part must provide high quality support that ensures each young person leaves their placement more employable than when they started.

Kickstart is a great way for your organisation to access and support diverse young talent and to demonstrate positive brand values.

To help achieve this every placement comes with a £1,500 grant that can be spent to provide employability support.

You can transfer some or all of this £1,500 to a partner who provides the support on your behalf.

“Talent RISE ran a CV and Careers Workshop for 9 young people participating in our programme. The young people received the perfect mixture of classroom based learning and one-to-one support, allowing young people of all abilities to feel comfortable in a corporate environment whilst supporting their individual aims and needs. I saw a noticeable increase in the participants’ confidence throughout the workshop, and the young people were excited to continue working on their CV's and continue speaking to the Talent RISE team who were engaging, friendly and supportive and treated the young people like colleagues or clients."
